Quilter Ludmila Morgan named semifinalist in national contest

Ludmila Morgan of Lewes has been named a semifinalist for the American Quilter's Society's QuiltWeek in Lancaster, Pa., scheduled for March 12-15 at the Lancaster County Convention Center. First-, second- and third- place prizes in six categories will be awarded, along with six overall awards including Best of Show honors.

Winners will be announced at the show and posted on AQSshows.com, including a $10,000 Best of Show prize and a $3,500 prize for other categories. The show is expected to draw more than 15,000 visitors.

Quilts were entered from 40 U.S. states and nine other countries. The American Quilter's Society hosts seven shows annually, each with its own quilt contest.
