Delaware Tech to host Social Media Conference Feb. 20

The Corporate and Community Programs division of Delaware Technical Community College’s Owens Campus will host its second annual Social Media Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, in the Carter Partnership Center.

“We have a great group of presenters from a wide variety of work environments lined up for this year’s conference,” said CCP Director Christopher Moody. “Everyone can benefit from this program - whether they work for a small business, large corporation, government agency, or nonprofit operation.”

The keynote speaker for the event will be Eric Mills of the National Institute for Social Media. Other presenters include Kelly Bachman, Office of Gov. Jack Markell; Dave Burris, Burris Digital; Kristin Davis, Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement; Lisa Flowers, Flowers Media Matters; Ken Grant, Epic Marketing; Deserie K. Lawrence, GetNoticed PR; and Rob Nicholson, Inclind.

Topics will include learning how to generate leads, discover ways to connect with and engage an audience, expand market research and use a variety of tools to maximize return on investment.
