Women's Club of Indian River to hold fundraiser Feb. 7 at Annabella's in Lewes

Member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs and Delaware State Federation of Women's Clubs, the Women's Club of Indian River in Millsboro will be holding a fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, Feb. 7, at Annabella's Restaurant, 1201 Savannah Road, Lewes.  The WCIR will have a rafffle of great prizes, a 50/50 and sales of deer whistles for the Save a Deer and Save Your Dear campaign.

The Women's Club of Indian River was founded seven years ago.  A few of its community activities have been the Battered Women Crusade for People's Place, Milford; mentor program at Long Neck Elementary School; Inland Bays Project at Long Neck Elementary School; the Helping Danny campaign to provide a usable sink for a disabled student; and planting with the Millsboro Garden Club. The WCIR is a member of the Millsboro Chamber of Commerce.  Members participate in the DSFWC Federation Day, support the Stockley Auxiliary and participate in Labor Day Long Neck Style and Children in the Arts at Long Neck Elementary School.

Meetings are held at 10 a.m. the second Monday of each month at the Indian River Yacht Club, Millsboro.  Club meetings are conducted and an educational program is presented.  For more information, call 302-947-2640.

The club is nonprofit, formed in friendship and dedicated to charitable, civic and educational purposes.
