February 3, 2014

Delaware State Police arrested two men they say stole televisions and other electronics from more than 80 southeastern Sussex County homes.

William K. Freeman II, 28, of Berlin, Md., and Bradford J. Hall, 27, of Bishopville, Md., were charged with 247 counts each after police linked them to 88 burglaries and thefts committed since November 2013, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.

The two broke into seasonal homes in Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island, Ocean View and Selbyville, Fournier said.

Hall was arrested Nov. 13 during a burglary in the Clearwater Development south of Ocean View; he posted bail and was released two days later, Fournier said.

Through the investigation, police determined Hall and Freeman were behind numerous burglaries in the area, Fournier said.

Police arrested Freeman on Dec. 20 following a traffic stop in Laurel. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, and charged Jan. 10 with 247 counts of burglary, theft, conspiracy and criminal mischief. He remains in SCI on $629,500 cash bond.

Hall was arrested Jan. 24 in Maryland and extradited to Delaware Jan. 29. He was charged with 247 counts of burglary, theft, conspiracy and criminal mischief and committed to SCI on $629,500 cash bond.

Fournier said police were able to clear 88 burglary investigations with the arrest of the two.
