Stay Strong Josh fundraiser to take place March 15

Joshua Lysinger suffered a spinal cord injury in 2013
February 12, 2014

The family of Joshua Lysinger invites the public for a fun-filled afternoon to benefit a great cause from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, March 15, at American Legion Post 28, 31768 Legion Road in Millsboro. The goal of this fundraiser is to help pay medical expenses for Lysinger, who suffered a spinal cord injury during summer 2013.  The injury has left him paralyzed.

Lysinger's cousin, Cape senior Emily Baptiste, says, “He has put in tremendous effort to make improvements to his health and will soon be leaving rehabilitation to come home. When that time comes, the money from the fundraiser and any extra donations will be put to use. We are hopeful that this fundraiser, as well as positive thoughts and prayers, will allow Josh the opportunity to get going on his new lifetime journey.”

The day will feature entertainment featuring Elvis tribute artist Bob Lougheed, delicious food, and silent and live auctions.

Tickets at $25 each must be purchased prior to the event to account for the number of people attending. There are approximately 150 tickets left, so get them while they’re available!

Mail payment to Stay Strong Josh, 32312 Mariners Way, Millsboro, DE 19966. Make check payable to “Stay Strong Josh.”

Those who cannot attend but who would like to donate may contact Emily Baptiste at 302-725-7455 or email emilybaptiste5@yahoo.com.
