Lucille Johnson Czurley, retired from restaurants

Lucille E. Johnson Hart Czurley, 87, of Milton, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Harbor Healthcare in Lewes.

She was well known for working at many landmark restaurants including The Lighthouse Diner, Bob Ching's, The Sea Horse, Carousel, DeBraak, Lou Ianire’s, Angler’s and Grotto. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and doing crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Czurley and son, Charles “Sonny” Hart. She is survived by three daughters, Susan Maedler and her husband Bob, Becky Carney and husband Marvin and Ruthie Hart; daughter-in-law Ruth Hart; grandchildren, Sean Maedler, Kelli Buhidar, Kim Hart, Beth Sparpaglione, Brant Hart, Jan Kauffman, Leigh Ann Luscan, Sean Donovan, Lisa Shaughnessy, Colleen Carney and James Mears; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, Feb. 7, at noon, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services , 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where relatives and friends may visit after 11 a.m. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Lucille’s memory to your local Meals on Wheels.
