Sussex Tech honors math teaching team

Sussex Technical High School has named teachers Carle Ax, left, and Cyndi Saxton as Co-Staff Members of the Month for January 2014. The teachers team-teach mathematics at Sussex Tech.

Saxton, of Frankford, came to Sussex Tech in 2008 to teach mathematics and special education. She received her bachelor’s degree from State University of New York, Buffalo. She is a candidate for a master’s in counseling at Wilmington University.

Ax, of Magnolia, is new to Sussex Tech this year. She received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Wesley College and her master’s in teaching from the University of Delaware.

In making the announcement, Assistant Principal Dr. John Sell, shown congratulating the pair, said, “This team epitomizes the meaning of shared-approach instruction.”
