Meg Havens named Star of the Quarter at Cadbury
Cadbury at Lewes recently announced that Meg Havens is the Star of the Quarter for the period from January through March 2014.
The Star of the Quarter Award started in July 2011 and is based on an employee’s job performance, quality, attitude, leadership skills and attendance. Havens has been employed by Cadbury at Lewes since 2009 in the Social Services Department as a social worker. She is a voice for many of the residents and is a resident advocate. Havens coordinates all the care plan conferences for residents, families and friends, and communicates resident care goals with the Interdisciplinary Team.
Many residents and families view Havens as a problem solver, for she tracks all resident compliments and concerns while tracing resident missing items for proper return. She meets and huddles with the charge nurses, nurses, and CNAs to solve concerns as they occur and provides feedback to staff on resident and family compliments. She has an excellent rapport with residents, families, friends of the community, and the Interdisciplinary Team, as well as all departments at Cadbury at Lewes. She is an active member of the Utilization Review Team, Care Plan conferences, Continuing Care and Resident Family Support Group.
