Betty J. Snow, 89, of Lewes, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, while surrounded by her family.

Born in Gleason, W. Va. Feb. 14, 1925, Betty was a daughter of the late Charles C. Upole and Bessie McCrobie Upole. She worked in budget management for Bell Telephone from 1955-87. Betty would later take a position with H&R Block, where she would work until her retirement in April, 2012.

A talented musician, she was able to play numerous instruments. Betty was also a gifted crafter who enjoyed ceramics, painting, knitting and crocheting. She was a longtime member of the Pioneers, where she made many friends. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Coy W. Snow; sons, Bob Snow, Ronald Snow and wife Maureen, Doug Snow, and Tim Snow and wife Trish; sister, Joanne Rohm and husband Joe; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where friends may call from 5 until 7 p,m. Interment will be held privately in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801, or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702-B Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.
