Millsboro Art League has released a call for artists for its Spring Art Competition and Show to be held March 2 through 28 in the MAL gallery at 203 Main St. in Millsboro town center. The competition is unrestricted and will include artwork in watercolor, acrylic, oil, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, pastels and textiles.
Artists must declare their judging category as “professional” or “emerging” when submitting an application and prizes will be awarded in each category by an independent judge. For an application and specific instructions, go to www.millsboroartleague.com. There is a limit of two pieces per entry, and fees of $25 for MAL members and $40 for future members are required.
As many as 80 entries will be accepted and displayed. Awards will be given at a public reception scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 8.
