Blooming Boutique in Lewes is hosting a TROLLBEADS AT THE BEACH Spring Fling Festival in Lewes, Delaware on March 28th -30th.   Blooming Boutique, owned by Michiko Seto, is the largest Trollbeads dealer in the state of Delaware with 4 retail locations.

“After having our first Trollbeads at the Beach Festival in October, we could not wait for a year to have another amazing event and decided to host them twice a year,” says Michiko Seto.  “From the amazing selection of beads that came in from Denmark to watching the American Trollbeads artists create beautiful beads for our customers – many of us just can’t wait for this event.”

Trollbeads is the original bead on bracelet jewelry before all the other lines that have followed. The story about Trollbeads started in 1976 in Denmark. The first bead was a small bead decorated with no less than 6 faces. It was designed by Søren "Silversmith" Nielsen and sold from his father Svend’s jewelry shop in central Copenhagen. Later, glass, gold, gemstones and pearl beads were introduced and new locks were designed making it possible to add or remove beads and experiment with different combinations.

Trollbeads jewelry is made from 18-carat gold, sterling silver, Italian glass, freshwater pearls and precious stones, and is created from a blend of traditional and modern techniques. The gold and silver Trollbeads are modeled using the so called ‘cire perdu’ or ‘lost wax’ method. This 3,000 year old technique allows for fine details to be reproduced from wax to precious metals. Each glass bead is handmade from red-hot glass in the open flame and no two Trollbeads are ever completely alike!
