Outlaw country artist Lorin Walker Madsen will be performing at 10 p.m., Saturday, March 8, at The Riverside Grill, 31457 River Road in Millsboro.
Madsen, a musician based in Salt Lake City, Utah, has been playing music for more than 15 years and writing music for almost as long.
He set out on his first full U.S. tour as a solo artist Sept. 5, 2013, as he released his new album, "The Kind of Man I Am." In the title track, Madsen gives his listeners a firsthand look at his soulful journey with music.
A musical storyteller, Madsen brings his journey to life on stage with the help of his band, The Hustlers. Supporting the lyrics are his gritty voice and an impressive array of instruments: fiddle, pedal steel, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, and drums. The instrumental array supports the widespread tone of the tracks, from the soulful "Colorado Man" to the kick-up-your-boots beat of "Ain't Getting Caught" and the lonesome "We All Die Alone."
