Join the Cape May – Lewes Ferry Team - Job Fair Scheduled for March 8, 2014
(North Cape May, NJ) Today, Delaware River and Bay Authority officials scheduled a job fair to take place inside the Cape May Terminal on Saturday, March 8, 2014. The purpose of the job fair, which will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., is to attract qualified applicants for seasonal/casual positions in various departments, including Customer Service, Food and Retail. During the busy summer season, the Ferry hires more than 250 seasonal employees.
“Last year, we held our first ever job fair inside the Cape May Ferry terminal and it was very successful,” said Heath Gehrke, Director of Ferry Operations. “The Ferry is an employer of choice and this event is a great opportunity for prospective candidates to speak with our hiring managers and apply onsite. Whether on land or aboard a vessel, you can’t beat a summer job at the Cape May – Lewes Ferry.”
The Cape May – Lewes Ferry has nearly 80 seasonal positions currently available, including food and retail associates, line and prep cooks, servers, customer service representatives, bartenders, and porters. Some supervisory seasonal positions are also available. The Authority is actively seeking local residents to fill seasonal jobs at the Cape May – Lewes Ferry.
The job fair will be held inside the rotunda of the Cape May ferry terminal, located at 1200 Lincoln Blvd. in the North Cape May section of Lower Township, New Jersey. A welcome table with job postings will be set up and candidates will be directed to the Sunset Lounge to meet with hiring managers to be interviewed on the spot. Candidates will be able to complete applications on-line inside the Gallery and are subject to a background check.
