Jeanne H. Quinn, Conley's choir singer

Jeanne H. Quinn, 83, of Millsboro, formerly of West Chester, Pa., went home to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, after a gallant battle with cancer.

Jeanne was born in Drexel Hill, Pa. Dec. 16, 1930, daughter of the late Austin Vincent and Ada (Orem) Harvey. She was an administrative assistant with DuPont Company in Wilmington before her retirement.

Jeanne was a member of Conley’s United Methodist Church in Lewes, a member of the Cape Henlopen Senior Center and belonged to the Lewes Historical Society. Her true passions in life was singing in the choir at Conley’s, studying American history and traveling. She will be remembered as God loving woman who supported missions and was deeply devoted to her family.

She is survived by five children, Thomas Michael (Carol) Quinn of San Diego, Calif., Timothy James (Betsy) Quinn of Novato, Calif., Carol Q. (David) McCarthy of Peoria, Az., Kevin John (Pam) Quinn of St. Charles, Ill. and Christopher Joseph Quinn of New London, Wisc.; a brother, John (Sharon) Harvey of Guatemala; longtime friend, Lew Jobes of Lewes, and 10 grandchildren.

A celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, at Conley’s United Methodist Church, 33106 Jolyns Way, Lewes. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Jeanne’s name to Conley’s United Methodist Church at the above address.
