Charles V. Laughlin, machinery operator

Charles V. Laughlin, 83, of Millsboro, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Charles was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Charles B. and Catherine (Boppel) Laughlin. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a retired production machinery operator for Jack Frost Sugar Company in Philadelphia.

Charles was a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church in Millsboro and the American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro.

His is survived by his brothers, John and Thomas Laughlin; and sisters, Hannah Rowan and Elizabeth Flynn.

A memorial service with military honors will be held Wednesday, March 12, at 1 p.m., at the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
