Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church, 81 Central Ave. in Ocean View, will host a Prayer Shawl Ministry Workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 12.
A prayer shawl reaches out to those who are in need of comfort and serves as confirmation that there is a community around them that cares. The group will share tips, testimonies and ideas from its program.
Every person will leave with a starter kit to create his or her own project. To sign up, contact Mariner's Bethel UMC Prayer Shawl Committee at marinerprayershawl@gmail.com. Reservations must be made by Friday, April 4 to prepare materials for everyone.
