George C. Will Jr., retired service manager

George Charles Will Jr., 93, of Lewes, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. Sept. 22, 1920, son of the late George C. and Rose (Taylor) Will.

Mr. Will honorably served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Following his service, Mr. Will worked for many years as an auto mechanic for Barr Ford and Reischer Ford dealerships, eventually rising to the position of service manager.

He was a billiards enthusiast and enjoyed shooting pool at the Cape Henlopen Senior Center every chance he got. An avid Philadelphia Phillies fan, Mr. Will also enjoyed fishing and building model cars. In his younger years he was a deacon and taught Sunday school in the Presbyterian Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and a dear friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Will was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Elva H. (Giberson) Will; his daughter, Shirley Dutkiewicz and her husband Ed; his sister, Elizabeth Lyons; and his grandchild, Steven Law. He is survived by his three daughters: Elva Law and her late husband Richard of Philadelphia, Lorraine Fallon and her late husband Peter of Lewes, formerly of Marlton, N.J., and Nancy S. Will and her spouse Cheri of Lewes; his seven grandchildren: Denise Dutkiewicz, Sharon Henderson, Cynthia Fischer, Richard Law, Courtney Will, Daniel Murdock and Haley Will; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at noon, Saturday, March 15, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, where friends may visit beginning at 11a.m. Interment will be private.
