March 18, 2014

Blooming Boutique in Lewes will host its Trollbeads at the Beach Spring Fling Festival Friday to Sunday, March 28 to 30, in Lewes.

The main event is Saturday at the Lewes Presbyterian Church, where Blooming Boutique will host American Trollbeads glass artisans Scott Bouwens and Gail Crosman Moore. The designer event will also include an opportunity to learn about the product, and designer training and a Q&A.

Bouwens, a Trollbeads USA designer, has been practicing the art of lampwork glass beads since 1998. He is also an inventor, toolmaker, instructor, videographer, and photographer.  Bouwens primarily uses Effetre glass and is known for the bright yet earthy hues he creates from using fine silver leaf accents in his beads.

Moore, also a Trollbeads USA designer, is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist who works in felt, glass, metal and paper. Moore has won awards and had invitations to teach abroad in Japan, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Canada and Great Britain.

The new X by Trollbeads line will have a dedicated station with staff to assist with creations. X by Trollbeads is a new concept designed for wearers to create unexpected combinations and express their own personal style.

Saturday's main event is ticket-only. The price is $35 and includes a goody bag worth $65, a locally catered luncheon and beverages for the day. Access to the event includes not only the artists designing beads, but also other stations to learn about all the aspects of the line including limited-edition Mother’s Day and Easter beads with many special promotions.

Tickets are still available by calling 302-644-4052 or visiting Blooming Boutique at 118 Second St. in Lewes, www.TrollbeadsAtTheBeach.com or www.facebook.com/trollbeadsdelaware. Blooming Boutique, owned by Michiko Seto, is the largest Trollbeads dealer in Delaware.
