Coons to address Greater Lewes Foundation April 12

The keynote address at the Saturday, April 12 annual meeting of the Greater Lewes Foundation will be presented by Delaware Sen. Chris Coons.

The GLF will also present its annual Community Service awards during the meeting, which will last from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the upstairs meeting room of the Lewes Public Library.

Joe Stewart, chair of the GLF, will discuss the foundation’s most recent achievements and its priorities for 2015. Copies of the GLF annual report for 2013-14 will be distributed.

Coons works hard to find bipartisan solutions to the issues confronting Delaware and the nation. He serves on the foreign relations, judiciary, appropriations and budget committees.

Coons is a leading advocate for conservation programs that help protect Delaware’s wildlife and habitat, water quality, open space on agricultural lands, and access for hunters, fishermen, and other recreationists.

The public is invited, with seating limited to the first 120 RSVPs.  Anyone wishing to attend should call 302-644-0107 to reserve a seats.
