Andrew H. McKendrick, security guard

Andrew Hobert McKendrick, 44, of Seaford, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, at his residence. Andy was born Feb. 18, 1970, in Clearfield, Pa., son of William (Bill) and Linda Hite McKendrick of Seaford.

He was predeceased by his sister Laura Jane McKendrick March 13. In addition to his parents he is survived by his Uncle Albert Hamilton of Maryland, Aunt Lois Overbay and husband Gary of Virginia; Aunt Audrey Siple of Maryland; uncles Kenneth McKendrick and Lewis Nelson of Pennsylvania; Aunt Evelyn "Babe" Scanish of Arizona; Aunt Phyllis Foster and husband Tex of Texas; and numerous cousins.

Andrew worked as a security guard and attended Delaware Technical and Community College where he received his certification in 2007 as a practical nurse. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his best friend Jeff Bundick.

A Celebration of Life Visitation is being held Friday, March 28, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the McCurry Conference Center, 18947 John J. Williams Highway, Rehoboth Beach, where prayer services will be held at 6 p.m,
