State representatives honor Coastal Concerts

Smyk presented the citation, cosponsored by House Speaker Rep. Pete Schwartzkopf, D-Rehoboth Beach, and Rep. Ruth Briggs King, R-Georgetown, prior to Coastal Concerts’ season finale performance March 22.

The resolution noted that Coastal Concerts has presented more than 60 concerts and has “provided free performances to local schools, distributed used instruments to students, awarded music scholarships to high school students and offered free concert admission to young people.”
