Geraldine 'Gerry' Scott, registered nurse

Geraldine W. “Gerry” Scott, 83, of Georgetown passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at home.

She was born in Milton, the daughter of the late Clarence and Lillie E. (Campbell) Walls. She was an R. for the Stockley Center in Georgetown for 11 years and also worked for Dr. Mestas in Millsboro. She was a past member of the Indian River Yacht Club and the Milford School of Nursing Alumni Association.

She enjoyed taking walks, reading, camping, yard work and collecting antiques, especially Delaware Items.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn F. Scott in 2010.

She is survived by her children, Glenda Scott and Gerry Bloodsworth and her husband Bob all of Georgetown; grandchildren, Scott Bloodsworth and wife Crystal of Viola and Jessica Bloodsworth and her fiancé’, Aaron Butler of Harrington; sisters-in-law Barbara Johnson and her husband, Richard, Doris Lloyd, Jean Scott, Judy Scott, Betty Martin; and brother-in-law, Charles Scott and wife Margaret; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, at noon in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 11 am. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.
