Marvelous Men of Milford Fashion Show and Auction to take place May 2
Behind every successful man is often a supportive lady. That's definitely the case with the Marvelous Men of Milford Fashion Show and Auction. Harrington Raceway & Casino will host Milford's Third Annual Girls Night Out fundraiser Friday, May 2, to benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford.
The event will provide cash/carry vendors, desserts, drinks, entertainment and games, a raffle to win a weekend getaway compliments of the Atlantic Sands Hotel, and a men's fashion show and auction featuring gentlemen from some of the town's favorite local businesses, schools, and associations.
The model who raises the most money for this worthy cause, collected prior to and at the event, will earn the title of Milford's Marvelous Man 2014. Girls Night Out committee members, including Cheryl Doucette and Sue Ryan from DBCC, LuAnne Holland of Delaware Hospice, Sylvia Henderson of Milford School District, Ruth Abbate of Delaware Electric Signal, Christine Rust of M&T Bank, Kim Baker of Delaware Broadcasting, Jo Schmeiser and Laurie Judd of the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Milford, and Debbie Jewell, event chair and representative from platinum sponsor Sussex County Federal Credit Union are working to make the night a huge success.
Jewell said, “This is slated to be a sold-out event. We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to support such a great cause that gives back to the needs of our local community.
