Beverleyann 'Nana' Mazzadra, retired bank employee

Beverleyann “Nana” Mezzadra, 73, of Millsboro, formerly of Baltimore, Md., passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

She was born in Baltimore County, Md., Nov. 15, 1940, daughter of the late Charles Edward and Mildred (Vaeth) Sandy Sr. She had worked in the collections department at Omni Bank in Millsboro before becoming M&T Bank.

Beverley was a member of Conley’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Lewes. She loved gardening, crocheting and cooking, and was well known for her pumpkin roll. Above all else, she loved being a nana to all children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Robert Mezzadra; a son, Ronald M. Strack Jr.; and a brother, Charles Edward Sandy Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Bell and Kimberley Strack; a son, Charles “Jack” Strack and his wife Jaime; eight grandchildren, Ronald E. Strack, Samuel Bell III, Amber Bell, Brittany Strack, Alicia Strack, Jilleigh Strack, Jenna Strack and Jaclynn Strack; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Lauren, Morgan and Ayleen.

A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday, April 5, at Conley’s Chapel, 22150 Robinsonville Road, Lewes. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Beverley’s name to Conley’s United Methodist Church, 33106 Jolyns Way, Lewes, DE 19958.
