Missed school days to be made up in May
Making up 13 hours graduating seniors missed during recent bad weather will mean a few changes to the May schedule. A professional development day previously scheduled May 23 has been changed to a full day for all students, not just graduating seniors, said Superintendent Robert Fulton.
Seniors will be required to attend school all day both Tuesday, May 27, and Wednesday, May 28 – previously scheduled half days. Thursday, May 29, a scheduled 3.5-hour half day will be extended an extra half hour for graduation proceedings and Monday, June 1, will be a full day of make up time to include graduation practice and a senior picnic. With this schedule, Fulton said, the 13 hours needed for graduating seniors are made up. Fulton said the administration, senior class officers and the guidance department worked to create the new schedule.
