Mary D. Daisey, kind and loving wife

Mary D. Daisey of Georgetown, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She bravely battled cancer for almost a year.

Born Feb 28, 1955, in Seaford, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Charlotte McCutchen, who survives her. She was a kind and loving wife, loving mother, grandmother and friend who will truly be missed. She enjoyed an evening out at the Harrington Slots and always played her favorite machine 5518 “Double Desire.”

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband and companion of 41 years, Charles Daisey Sr.; and two sons: Charles Daisey Jr. and his companion Leslie Carolyn Shields of Selbyville, and Roger L. Daisey of Georgetown. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren: Tylar Marie Spross, 17; Mackenzie Catelynn Daisey, 16; Logan Skylar Daisey, 13; and Collin Edward Mallet, 12; her brother, Earl McCutchen Jr.; and sisters: Janet and Pamela. Her special friends are Frances Wyatt, who is also a sister-in-law, and her husband Jack; Rose Adams, who was also a caregiver;  and Shirley Massey, and Ruth Wilson who is also a sister-in-law. She has numerous extended family members and friends. She also loved her three little dogs: Smokey, Tiny, and Cocoa.

A funeral service and Celebration of Her Life will be held Monday, April 14, at 1 p.m., at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro. Friends may call two hours prior for viewing and visitation, starting at 11 a.m. The Rev. James Van Der Wall will officiate, and interment follows at McColley’s Cemetery, Redden Road, Georgetown. Floral tributes are welcomed.
