The numbers are up like a bucket truck in Milton Little League

April 15, 2014

Milton Little League's April 12 opening day parade and golf ball drop were followed by honorary first pitches, pledges and prayer – it just doesn’t get any better in small town America.

Players with parents and young grandparents and a smattering of great grandparents are ready for a full season that now features five fields including a new tee ball field.

The Milton VFW has been a generous partner in offering land to be used for Little League.

Milton Little League numbers are up from 169 to 206 – that’s tee ball to majors – in baseball and softball. The league has added 20 4-year-olds and a new rule: Athletes can play for the town in which they go to school.

The pictures best tell the story.
