Milton Historical Society to host 10th Annual Dinner Celebration May 17

Paying tribute to many volunteers and members

The Milton Historical Society will host its annual dinner Saturday, May 17 to pay tribute to its many volunteers and members. This event provides an enjoyable evening for members and friends to socialize and celebrate the society's mission to increase public understanding and appreciation of the history of Milton and the Broadkill Hundred.

The MHS 10th Annual Dinner will take place at the Milton Fire Hall, 116 Front St. in Milton. Doors open at 5 p.m. for happy hour with dinner served at 6 p.m. A new seasonal and, when possible, locally sourced menu catered by Lighthouse Cove includes fresh garden salad, seafood imperial, vegetable lasagna, roasted turkey breast carving station, roasted red potatoes, creamy macaroni and cheese, fresh vegetable medley, assorted desserts, iced tea and coffee. A cash bar will offer soda, Dogfish Head beer and wine. Director Allison Schell will provide a short program and present awards to this year’s Volunteers of the Year.

Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Milton Historical Society, 210 Union St., by Saturday, May 10. Tickets are $20 for adults, $7.50 for children age 7 to 12, and free for children 6 and under. No tickets will be sold at the door.
