William 'Bill' Baucher, retired supervisor

William E. "Bill" Baucher, 77, of Lewes, died peacefully Friday, April 11, 2014, in the comfort of his home. He was born in Berwick, Pa., son of the late Elwood and Jane Baucher.

He retired in 1996 after serving 41 years as a supervisor for the Dairy Herd Improvement Association, PA. He also worked part-time as a backhoe operator for Berwick Cemetery Association. He was a life member of the Ranger Hose Company in Berwick and also a life member of the Elks, transferring from Berwick to Cape Henlopen Lodge No. 2540 in 1996.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman; he loved to garden, build birdhouses and read books. He was especially fond of John Grisham novels.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carol; and two daughters, Holly Sink of San Diego, Calif. and Lynn Hickey of Virginia Beach, Va., daughters of the late Doris (Canouse) Baucher. He is also survived by sisters, Linda Heckman and Mary (Mimi) Grual and Aunt Issy Shuman all of Pennsylvania.

The family wishes to thank his caregivers which include Beebe Home Health Care, Atlantic Shores Rehab and Health Center, Millsboro, and Delaware Hospice, Milford.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
