Thomas M. Coyle, retired supervisor

Thomas M. “Tommy” Coyle, 76, of Ocean View, formerly of Delaware and Chester counties, Pa., passed away Monday, April 14, 2014.

Tommy was born December 24, 1937, in Darby, Pa., son of the late Thomas and Mary (Quashnock) Coyle. He was a graduate of Collingdale High School and attended Widener University. Tommy also served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves.

He retired from Westinghouse in 1983 after 30 years of service as the machine supervisor. Tommy was then employed by Boeing for 10 years before moving to Delaware. He was an avid and passionate gardener who also enjoyed making lawn ornaments. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol Ann (Ziviello) Coyle; a son, Kevin (Jennifer) Coyle of Chester County; a daughter, Denise (Norman) Dales of Woolwich Township, N.J.; and three grandsons, Jason, Ryan and Nicholas Dales.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 21, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, where friends and family may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
