Delmarva Power cosponsors annual Ride to the Tide April 27

Motorcycle event will benefit Special Olympics Delaware

The Delaware Blue Knights - Chapter 1 will hold its annual Ride to the Tide Sunday, April 27. (Rain date Sunday, May 4).

Delmarva Power is cosponsoring this fundraising event, which involves hundreds of motorcyclists taking part in a police-escorted ride from Newark or Dover to Rehoboth Beach, in support of Special Olympics Delaware.

Bikers will depart from the University of Delaware athletic complex in Newark at 10:30 a.m. or the DelDOT Administrative Building in Dover at noon. Preregistration is $20 per rider, $15 per passenger ($25 and $20 day-of). The ride will end around 1 p.m. at Jake’s Seafood House on Route 1 in Rehoboth, where bikers and passengers will receive a complimentary lunch.

We are honored to sponsor this event.”

Delaware Blue Knights - Chapter 1 promotes the sport of motorcycling as well as all safety aspects involved with it. The organization’s annual fundraising activities benefit local charities.

Other supporters of Ride to the Tide include Delaware Law Enforcement for Special Olympics, WBOC-TV and Gettier Security and Investigative Services.
