Minnette LaShell Person, loved to help others

April 16, 2014

Minnette LaShell Person of Milton was born Feb. 18, 1972, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.

She was educated in the Cape Henlopen School District and also attended Georgetown High School and received her G.E.D. She loved to take pictures of herself and enjoyed singing like she was a big time singer with a microphone and everything.

She was very good when it came to helping others and she did it happily. She was a very dedicated single mother and grandmother.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Mary Townsend; her father, Jack Wharton; one daughter and three sons, Shannice Bumhart, Anthoine Person, Tyrone Smith and Timothy Archie; one brother, Sylvester Person; one sister, Liza May Simons; three aunts, Christene Wisher, Corrine Person and Jennie Hogan; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m., at Mt Zion Holy Church, 308 Front St., Milton, with a viewing one hour prior. Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home.
