Elderly man assaulted in Milton cemetery

Milton Police are investigating the assault and robbery of an elderly man that occurred April 19 in the cemetery on Union Street in Milton.

Police say an 82-year-old man was placing flowers on a gravesite between 3:30 and 5 p.m., when an unknown male assaulted the man and robbed him.

The suspect was wearing a gray hooded jacket or sweatshirt at the time of the alleged crime. He was last seen running toward the intersection of Union Street and Route 16.

The victim suffered a head injury, but is in stable condition at Christiana Hospital.
