Margaret A. Lambert, The Bingo Lady

Margaret A. “Peggy” Lambert, 81, of Milton, passed away peacefully of natural causes Thursday, April 17, 2014. Peggy, affectionately known as “The Bingo Lady,” was a longtime resident of Milton and recently a resident at Renaissance Nursing Home in Millsboro, De. She was born Oct. 18, 1932, to the late Richard and Mary Wood of Allentown, Pa. Peggy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Roy Lambert; brothers Richard Wood of Falston, Md., Johnny Wood of Allentown, Pa.; and a daughter, Margaret James of Philadelphia.

She is survived by her four children, Wayne James of Pennsylvania, Donald James of Salisbury, Md., Russell Murray of Pennsylvania, and Jane Murray-Collins of Millsboro; five grandchildren, Roy Collins of Milton, and Winter Collins, Dillon Collins, Zoe Collins (her favorite) and Luke Collins, all of Millsboro; a brother, William Wood, and a sister, Mikey Ruth, both of Allentown.

Private viewing was held for the family at Melson Funeral Homes of Frankford, with interment held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
