Crowds crave bacon creations
Hundreds turn out for inaugural Dewey Beach Bacon Fest

Nearly 550 people attended the inaugural Dewey Beach Bacon Fest on April 26.
Justin Redefer, event organizer, said the event went great for it being the first time. It was funny to see people walking along the sidewalks of Dewey Beach with their bacon fest T-shirts on, he said.
More than 400 people voted on who made the best bacon creations, with Port winning the Best Bacon on the Beach contest. Second place went to Nalu Surf Bar and The Starboard came in third.
