A number of my friends honored me on my birthday this year by donating (collectively) over $600 in supplies and financial support to the West Rehoboth Children & Youth Program April 27 during a wonderful brunch celebration at the Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center in Rehoboth. I was absolutely delighted that my dear friends honored me in this way and I would like to thank them publicly for their generous donations this past weekend.
The West Rehoboth Children & Youth Program is doing great work and approximately 60 percent of the children entered in it are now on the honor roll; however they still need the help of our community. The organization is in need of a new 12-passenger van with which children may be transported to educational and cultural events, and they need help with daily operating expenses, too.
If you are unfamiliar with the organization, and its selfless leaders and great volunteers, I encourage you to learn more. If you are able to donate, please consider them. Brenda Milbourne is the executive director and the address is 19801 Norwood St., Rehoboth, DE 19971.
