Phillip W. Godwin, drywall installer

Phillip W. Godwin, 43, of Perry Hall, Md., formerly of Millsboro, passed away suddenly Sunday, April 27, 2014, in Delaware.

Phil was born in Baltimore, Md., March 16, 1971, son of Steven Wayne and Regina (Zalewski) Godwin. He served his country while enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

Phil was a self-employed drywall installer and general handyman. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and riding ATVs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Wayne Godwin. He is survived by his three children, Ty Godwin of Towson, Md., and Kyle Godwin and Molly Godwin of Millsboro. He is also survived by his mother, Regina Zalewski of Randallstown, Md.; his fiancée, Karen Bannan of Perry Hall; and a brother, Jason Shafer of Woodlawn, Md.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 3, at 11 a.m., at Woodlawn Cemetery, 2130 Woodlawn Drive, Baltimore, Md.
