Patricia 'Pat' Pope McWilliams, talented artist

Patricia “Pat” Anne Pope McWilliams departed this life at St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colo. surrounded by her sons Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, after a long illness.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Kennedy McWilliams of Camden, N.J.; her brother, John McWilliams of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and her son Roderic Pope of Georgetown. She is survived by her sons Gregory Pope and his wife Sandra Reyes Pope of Lewes, Christopher Pope of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Jonathan Pope of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Pat was born and raised in Camden. She raised her four sons in Shelton, Conn. and Lewes. During her lifetime, she owned her own boutique, worked at a pharmacy and for the phone company. She was a member of the DeVries Chapter of the Delaware Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs (BPW). She lived the last 25 years in Colorado Springs. She loved and enjoyed the natural beauty of Colorado Springs, particularly the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak.

Pat was a talented artist, seamstress and clothing designer. Her art was exhibited at the Rehoboth Art League and other local exhibits. She was also a talented pianist.

The family would like to thank Penrose St. Francis Health Services and the John Zay House in Colorado Springs for their care and comfort.
