The Buttery to host fundraiser for Children's Beach House June 1

May 13, 2014

The Buttery Restaurant will be hosting a fundraising dinner event Sunday, June 1. Dine Out for the Children’s Beach House will offer diners an opportunity to enjoy dinner at Lewes’s only fine dining restaurant.

Guests will sample the cuisine of The Buttery’s new chef, Aaron Berg, while contributing to the venerable Lewes treasure, The Children’s Beach House.  A generous portion of the night’s proceeds will go directly to the CBH to help achieve the current goals that are critical to the future plans and expansion of services. Representatives of the Children’s Beach House will be on hand to answer questions and shed light on the work that the Children's Beach House does to improve and enhance the lives of so many children who benefit from experiences there.

“This will be a great opportunity for people, especially residents of Lewes, to learn more about the Children’s Beach House. It is amazing to me that so many people are not aware of the rich history and legacy of this wonderful organization and the work that they do," said John Donato, owner of The Buttery.

“We are thrilled to be able to do our part to help future programs,” he added. “We are hoping this year’s Dine Out for the Children’s Beach House will just be a pilot event for what will become a townwide event that all of Lewes’s restaurants will participate in; I am hoping that the first Sunday in June of next year will see a repeat of this year’s event with more restaurants signing on for this great cause."

To participate in Dine Out for the Children’s Beach House, call The Buttery at 302-645-7755 and make a dinner reservation for Sunday, June 1. Twenty percent of the dinner check will be donated to the charity.
