Cape boys' tennis shuts out Polytech 5-0

The Cape Henlopen boys' tennis team moved to 9-5 May 5 with a 5-0 home win over the Panthers of Polytech.

Vikings first singles player Ryan Thornberg defeated Poly's Will Lackey, 6-0, 6-0; second singles player Evan Lesko downed Clay Satterfield, 6-0, 6-0; and Vikings third singles player Danny Myers defeated Ryan Crowley, 6-3, 6-3.

The doubles teams kept the shutout going with the first doubles team of
Hughie Lutz and Ben Emery defeating Brennan Weber and Benson Huber 6-1, 6-0, and the Vikings' second doubles team of Brandon VanVorst and Ryan Plowman finished the victory with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Poly's Andrew Dufendach and Steve Ryl.

The Vikings play in the Henlopen Conference tournament May 8-10 at Sea Colony.
