Twenty-two participants from the offices of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gallo Realty combed a large section of Rehoboth Beach May 7 as part of Delaware’s Adopt-a-Beach Program. The volunteers collected more than 30 pounds of trash.

“Keeping the beach clean serves many purposes,” said Andrew Ratner, vice president and broker. “It protects an important part of our natural environment, and a clean beach means more people coming to enjoy the area. We appreciate the opportunity to serve our community in this way.”

The group will clean this same stretch of beach in the autumn.
