Milton Elementary awarded 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant

Milton Elementary School was recently awarded a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant, allowing it to continue the Friends After School at Milton Elementary (FAME) program. FAME runs each year for three sessions -two after school and one summer camp session.

Fifty upcoming third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade students will be invited to participate in the unique summer camp session, which will run June 23-July 31 from 7:30 to 11 a.m. The goal of FAME Summer Camp is to support and help children retain literacy and math skills learned during the previous school year.

FAME provides tutoring in small-group settings as well as enrichment activities. Students will participate in a variety of camps including Math, Science, Dinosaur, Puppet Theatre, Backyard Games, and Arts and Crafts.
