Tunnell Cancer Center to Host Eleventh Annual “Miracle Mile” June 7 in Rehoboth Beach

The Eleventh Annual Cancer Survivors “Miracle Mile,” sponsored by Beebe Healthcare’s Tunnell Cancer Center, is scheduled to take place 8 a.m., Saturday, June 7, on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk.

The event, which is organized to celebrate National Cancer Survivors’ Day, will begin with a recognition ceremony and a presentation of the 3rd Annual Spirit of Hope Award at 8 a.m. at All Saints’ Episcopal Church on Olive Avenue. Participants will then proceed to the boardwalk where they will walk about ½ mile down and back. After the walk, participants are invited to the church hall for a light breakfast and fellowship.

More than 100 people take part in the annual event. Cancer survivors, relatives, and friends are warmly welcomed to attend. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. T-shirts will be given to survivors.
