Sussex councilmen exhibit blatant racism

May 16, 2014

It appears that Sussex County Councilmen Sam Wilson and Vance Phillips have been watching the pathetic rumblings of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling on TV and decided that they would throw their hat in the ring for who can be the biggest racist.

At the May 13 council meeting they declined to give grants of $100 each to the Lower Sussex NAACP Youth Council, objecting to the phrase "colored people" in the group's name.

It is a shame that there is not a commissioner of county councils that cannot ban them from Sussex County Council for life.
