Robert 'Bob' Sublett, Pepsi Co. retiree

Mr. Robert A. "Bob" Sublett, 86, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014.

Mr. Sublett was born Dec. 9, 1927, in Huntsville, Ala. to the late Clyde and Isla Black Sublett. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his first wife Sara Ditsy Sublett in 2010; a son, Robert “Soupie” Sublett; and a brother, Clyde Sublett.

Bob retired from the Pepsi Cola Company where he worked as a sales representative. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. Bob was a past master of the Doric Lodge 30 A.F. & A.M., also Columbia Lodge in Arlington, Va., a Shriner and also a member of American Legion Post 28. He was the most wonderful man in the world. He enjoyed woodworking, flower gardening and was a diehard Redskins fan. He was an energetic and busy man all his days up to the end.

He is survived by his wife Janis Sublett of Millsboro; a daughter, Dale Bodzer and her husband Tony of New Bern, N.C.; sons, Jeral Sublett and his wife Ramona of Richmond, Va., Larry Sublett and his wife Maggie of Lusby, Md., a daughter-in-law, Cindy Sublett of Gainesville, Fla.; stepsons, Stevan and Randy McKinney; and a sister, Sue DuValle of Atlanta, Ga. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five stepgrandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.

A Masonic service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will take place privately at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidson, Md.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
