County Bank recently donated $500 to the Milton Historical Society, which was founded in 1970 to preserve artifacts and educate the public on Milton’s rich history. Designated as a nonprofit organization for charitable giving, the society and its museum occupy a former Methodist Church originally built in 1857. In this landmark building in downtown Milton at 210 Union St., the society offers exhibits, events, walking tours and lectures. The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
Shown at at the presentation are (l-r) Allison Schell, executive director of Milton Historical Society; Gene Dvornick, treasurer; Kevin Kelly, board member; Charles Burton, board member; and Tina Thurman, Milton branch manager of County Bank.
