May 22, 2014

Eugene "Jelly Roll" Taylor, 51, of Milton, son the late Jessie and Christine Taylor was born Feb. 22, 1963, in Milton. He departed this life on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

Jelly, as he was known to many, was the youngest of seven children born to his parents. He received his education in the Lake Forest School District. Working on cars was one of his favorite pastimes, whether it was under the hood or attending to the interior detailing. This love for automobiles gained him employment at several dealerships and auto detailing shops, including The Mazda dealership, Indian Head Auto, Shore Wash, and many others. He also enjoyed music and dancing, a love that is also shared with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Eugene is preceded in death by his elder brother, Jessie Taylor. He leaves to cherish his memories six children, Jessie Walker of Camden, Clishona Marshall and Lionel Williamson, both of Felton, August (Shontel) Hooten of Magnolia, Natosha Williamson of Dover, and Joseph Taylor of Smyrna; five sisters, Gladys (Richard) Brown and Lillie Peterson, both of Felton, Betty (Willis) Chain and Louise (Albert) Traust, both of Harrison, Ga., and Caroline (JB) of Frederica; eight grandchildren, Jasmine Price, ShyIona Jackson, Tymire Heath, Nariel Marshall, Elijah Williamson, Marques Williamson, Zavion Hooten, and Jazmere Williamson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends.
