I am very sorry to have learned that the Rehoboth Beach Film Festival will no longer be at Movies at Midway after this year. I've looked forward to traveling to Lewes for this incredible event every year for the past six years.
In fact, on two occasions I've had some of my good friends from Maine come along, so they could experience what it was that I'd been raving about - they left with great appreciation for the attractiveness and spirit of the Lewes/Rehoboth community.
Personally, I had never been to a film festival before, but the way in which Rehoboth Beach's has been run "under one roof" has given it a unique sense of excitement and togetherness that I can't imagine getting anywhere else.
Surely, the wonderful staff and all the volunteers who work tirelessly to make these events happen will find a new way. I want to wish them the best of luck in re-inventing the festival so that it will continue to have the quality and spirit of community that it's always had. Meanwhile, I'll look forward to seeing everyone in the tent this coming November and watching some great films. Best of luck to everyone involved!
