Hilda May Timmons, Sussex homemaker

Mrs. Hilda May Timmons, 90, of Dagsboro, passed away at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown Sunday, May 25, 2014.

Mrs. Timmons was born July 6, 1923, in Georgetown to the late Joseph E. and Della M. Dickerson Daisey. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Dale E. Timmons in 1992; a daughter, Darlene Griffith in 2008; and several brothers and sisters.

She was a member of the Dagsboro United Methodist Church and the Dagsboro Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and TV. She loved spending time with the small group of friends at Harrison Senior Living.

She is survived by a son, Dale H. Timmons and his wife Tamara of Bridgeville; two grandchildren, Bonnie Kay Snay and Tyler Timmons; and one great-grandchild, Peyton Snay.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 29, at the Dagsboro Redmen’s Memorial Cemetery.  The Rev. James Van Der Wall will officiate.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 128, Dagsboro, DE 19939.
