Two first-time exhibitions: RAL Instructors Show and Members Showcase-Figurative, will open along with the annual 41st Members Craft Exhibition Friday, May 30, at the Rehoboth Art League. The opening reception will be held May 30 from 5 to 7 p.m., and all show run through July 13.

Art league instructors have been the backbone of the League’s education program through the years. The Instructor's Show in the Ventures Gallery will give the community a chance to see the artwork of these teachers. The league offer a variety of classes focused on different forms of art-making, and wanted to recognize the instructors for their dedication to the RAL educational programming. This curated exhibition features the work of 10 Rehoboth Art League instructors working in a variety of mediums from painting and drawing to jewelry and pottery.

In addition to this exhibit, the RAL will feature an exhibition featured on the figure. Throughout art history, the figure has been portrayed in many different lights. It has been rendered flawlessly, abstracted, beautified, distorted, suggested through other means, and celebrated. Figurative-works relating to the human form is a juried Member's Showcase that will feature artworks in photography, drawing, and painting. The exhibition will take place in the Homestead.
